Sports Therapy in Paignton

Injury assessment & rehabilitation

Find out what is actually going on, then follow a structured plan back to the activity you love. New patient appointments are £45 and include a full assessment.

Who it helps

Sport and non-sport injuries, all ages

You do not need a gym membership or a race number to book. Ellis treats anyone in pain or restricted movement: new injuries, old niggles that never quite settled, work-related aches and everything in between.

What a first appointment looks like

Your initial 60 minute appointment begins with a conversation about your history, your activity and what you want to get back to. Ellis then assesses how you move, tests the affected area and explains her findings in plain English.

Treatment usually starts in the same session, and you leave knowing three things: what is going on, what the plan is, and what to do before your next visit.

  • 60 minute new patient assessment, £45
  • Follow-up sessions from £30
  • Clear plan and home exercises after every visit

Injury assessment

New patient 60 min · £45

A thorough look at the injured area and everything connected to it. Ellis combines your history with movement testing to identify the likely source of your pain, then agrees a treatment plan with you before anything begins.

Whether it is a sudden strain from sport or a slow-building ache from daily life, assessment always comes before treatment, so nothing is guessed.

Postural assessment

Long hours at a desk, behind the wheel or on your feet all leave their signature on your posture. A postural assessment maps how you hold yourself, identifies patterns that may be feeding your discomfort and gives you practical adjustments alongside hands-on treatment.

Gait analysis: walking or running

How you walk and run affects everything from your feet to your lower back. Ellis analyses your gait to spot imbalances and inefficient patterns, useful for runners chasing comfort over distance and equally valuable for anyone whose walking has changed after injury.

Injury rehabilitation

Recovery rarely ends when the pain eases. A structured rehabilitation plan rebuilds strength, mobility and confidence in stages, guiding your return to activity step by step. Ellis progresses your plan at each visit and adjusts it around how your body responds.

Mobilisations & stretching

Hands-on joint mobilisations and assisted stretching restore movement where your body has stiffened up. These techniques are woven into treatment sessions where they will help, and Ellis shows you how to keep the gains with simple stretches at home.
